Biography

The Southern Blacklist is a Brazilian metal band formed in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, in 2014. The group stands out for the presence of Jairo Guedz, former Sepultura guitarist, in its lineup.

The band's sound is described as "death/groovy metal", characterized by being heavy, impetuous, and influenced by thrash metal. In addition to Jairo Guedz on guitar, the band features Wallace Parreiras on vocals (also a member of Eminence), Guilherme Henrique on bass (ex-Cyhad), Caio Ribeiro on guitar (ex-Dilúvio), and Alexandre Oliveira on drums (ex-Dilúvio).

Since its formation, The Southern Blacklist has released music videos for tracks like "We Shall Rise" and "10 Tons Of Vengeance", in addition to participating in the compilation "Carnival of Carnage – Vol I", featured in the British magazine Terrorizer. The band positions itself as a musical group, rather than just a project, with the goal of composing, recording, and touring.
