Biography

Tianastácia is a Brazilian rock and roll band formed in 1992 in the city of Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. Known for blending the energy of rock with elements of Brazilian music and a great deal of humor, the group has built a striking trajectory in the national independent and mainstream scenes, standing out from its early years when it won the FestValda festival in 1995 with the song "Cabrobró". Over the decades, the lineup has undergone several changes, while maintaining founding members Beto Nastácia on bass and Antônio Júlio Nastácia on guitar and vocals.

With important albums such as Acebolado (1996), Tá na Boa (1999), and Na Boca do Sapo tem Dente (2004), the group has collaborated with several renowned names in national music, including Tom Zé, Paulinho Santos from the group Uakti, Maurício Tizumba, and producer Liminha. Songs like "O Sol" — which later became a major hit in the voice of Jota Quest — consolidated Tianastácia's relevance in Brazilian pop rock, taking the band to the stages of major festivals such as Rock in Rio and Pop Rock Brasil.

Tianastácia's identity has always been linked to the appreciation of the Portuguese language and the country's cultural roots, in contrast to the trend of singing in English that predominated among garage bands during the era of its formation. Even in the face of sad losses of members over the years and reformulations in its lineup, the band from Minas Gerais has continued to release original works and tour the country, celebrating three decades on the road with new projects and recordings at the Sonastério studio.
