Biography

Francisco Everardo Oliveira Silva, widely known as Tiririca, was born in Itapipoca, Ceará, on May 1, 1965. He began his artistic journey in childhood working in small circuses throughout the Brazilian Northeast, where he worked as a clown and solidified the nickname he has carried since he was little. Moving between humor and regional roots music, he achieved enormous national prominence in the late 1990s with the explosive success of the song "Florentina", selling millions of copies and breaking airplay and television broadcast records.

His musical career was marked both by major popular hits, such as the albums released throughout the 90s, and by controversies and good-humored parodies of Brazilian popular music classics. Alongside music, Tiririca stood out on television by joining the cast of high-ratings comedy shows alongside names like Tom Cavalcante, in addition to acting in programs on SBT, RecordTV, and Rede Manchete.

In the political sphere, he became an unprecedented electoral phenomenon starting in 2010, when he was elected federal deputy for São Paulo with expressive votes driven by the protest vote. Throughout his terms in the Chamber of Deputies, affiliated with parties such as the PR, the PL, and later the PSD, his performance sparked debates and coined the term "Tiririca Effect", consolidating a multifaceted trajectory that crosses the circus, comedy, music, and national politics.
