Biography

Tom Karabachian is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and actor born in Rio de Janeiro on January 11, 1997. He comes from a prominent artistic background as the son of musician Paulinho Moska and visual artist and journalist Naná Karabachian. Before solidifying his path in music, he built a notable acting career, appearing in television productions such as Malhação: Vidas Brasileiras and starring in films like Fala Comigo, alongside prominent figures like Karine Teles and Denise Fraga. He also participated in theater projects, including the musical Clube da Esquina - Os Sonhos Não Envelhecem.

Transitioning his creative energy into the music scene, Karabachian released his debut EP, Aviciou, in 2021, followed by his full-length studio album Barato Abstrato in 2024. His musical work has quickly garnered attention, featuring guest collaborations with notable Brazilian artists such as Chico César and Mosquito. Furthermore, his songwriting talent is highlighted by tracks recorded by Mart'nália, including "Melhor pra Você"—which contributed to a Latin Grammy-winning samba project—and "Sou assim até mudar," which served as the title track for her 2021 album.

Balancing his dual passions for acting and music, Tom continues to establish his presence in contemporary Brazilian culture. His musical style blends modern songwriting with traditional Brazilian popular influences, connecting him to a rich lineage of MPB artists. With further releases and stage performances, he remains an active contributor to the modern arts landscape in Rio de Janeiro.
