Biography

Antônio Carlos Liberalli Bellotto, better known as Tony Bellotto, was born in São Paulo on June 30, 1960. He became nationally known as a guitarist, songwriter, and one of the founders of the famous rock band Titãs, in which he has played since the 1980s and remains one of the group's surviving members. Alongside iconic partners such as Arnaldo Antunes, Branco Mello, and Marcelo Fromer, he helped shape the sound of Brazilian rock with unforgettable classics.

In addition to his solid career in music, Bellotto has built a prominent career as a writer, debuting in crime fiction in 1995 with the creation of investigator Remo Bellini in "Bellini e a Esfinge". His literary work has expanded into several successful novels, culminating in important awards, such as the Prêmio Jabuti for Literary Novel won in 2025 for his work "Vento em Setembro".

His artistic versatility has also led him to work as a television presenter, a columnist for major press outlets, and a children's literature author, collaborating once again with Arnaldo Antunes. Consolidated as one of the central figures of Brazilian pop culture, Tony Bellotto unites the vigor of rock with literary erudition.
