Biography

Tritom is a Brazilian musical duo formed in 2016 by singer-songwriters João Vitor Almeida Carreira and João André Melim. Hailing from Niterói in the state of Rio de Janeiro, the duo initially gained traction by publishing acoustic cover versions of national and international hits on YouTube and social media platforms.

Transitioning from their viral covers to original material, Tritom developed a signature sound rooted in contemporary Brazilian pop and R&B. They officially released their self-titled debut extended play in 2019 through Universal Music Brasil, featuring production by prominent industry figures such as Pedro Dash and Marcelinho Ferraz. Their melodic approach and harmonic vocal arrangements quickly earned them notable streaming success and playlist placements.

Throughout their career, the duo has collaborated with various notable artists and producers within the Brazilian urban and pop scenes, including Papatinho and the rap group Cone Crew Diretoria. They also served as a supporting act for the band Melim, with whom they share close familial and artistic ties, solidifying their presence in modern Brazilian popular music.
