Biography

Turbo Trio is a Brazilian funk trio formed in 2005, originating from Rio de Janeiro. The group was founded by B Negão, a prominent figure in Brazilian music and co-founder of the influential hip-hop group Planet Hemp. Alongside B Negão, the other members of Turbo Trio are Tejo Damasceno and Alexandre Basa, both accomplished producers and multi-instrumentalists.

Initially, Turbo Trio released several tracks online, which quickly gained traction and were played in dance clubs across Europe and Japan. This international recognition led to an invitation for the trio to perform at a festival in Paris in 2006. Their music, characterized by its high BPMs and influences from 80s electronic music, Miami Bass, and electro, aims to thicken the soundscape of fast-paced dance music.

In 2007, the Japanese label P-Vine Records released the trio's album "Baile Bass" exclusively in Japan, featuring collaborations with artists like Deize Tigrona and Bonde do Rolê. The album was also released in Brazil by YB Music in the same year. Turbo Trio's work has been noted for its unique blend of funk and electronic elements, contributing to the vibrant Brazilian electronic music scene.
