Biography

Matheus de Araújo Santos, widely known by his stage name TZ da Coronel, was born in Cabo Frio on July 6, 2001. The artist took his first steps in music in 2017, participating in rap battles at Morro do Limão, a community located in his hometown. Before establishing his name in the national rap scene, he also dedicated himself to sports, working as a boxer.

His recording career officially began in 2019 with the release of the track "No Meu Pescoço." From there, he built a solid discography that includes notable EPs and studio albums, such as "É O Trem!" and "Dacoromode." Throughout his career, TZ da Coronel expanded his work into the business market by founding the Cúpula label in partnership with The Orchard Brasil, in addition to collaborating with major names in Brazilian urban music, including MC Cabelinho, Veigh, and Ryu, the Runner.

The major milestone of his national popularity occurred in 2024 with the release of the hit "Qual é seu desejo?", a track in partnership with Ryu, the Runner that reached the top of the Billboard Brasil Hot 100. Combining elements of rap, trap, and funk carioca, the rapper established himself as one of the prominent voices of the new generation of urban music, maintaining strong relevance on the charts and streaming platforms.
