Ubirajara Cabral is a distinguished Brazilian composer, arranger, conductor, and pianist, born on July 27, 1937, in Aracaju, Sergipe. He is renowned for his significant contributions to Brazilian Popular Music (MPB), particularly for being the first to incorporate MPB into the repertoire of a choir. Cabral founded the Coral Ouro Preto at the Escola de Minas in 1956, making a notable impact on the music scene in Ouro Preto and nationally. His work has influenced prominent artists, with mentions of his arrangements being recognized by musicians such as João Gilberto and Ronaldo Bosco.
