Biography

Uns e Outros is a prominent Brazilian alternative rock band formed in 1983 in Rio de Janeiro. The group achieved widespread national recognition during the late 1980s with successful singles such as Carta aos Missionários and Dias Vermelhos, both released in 1989. Over the decades, the band has undergone various line-up changes while maintaining its distinctive musical identity within the Brazilian rock scene.

Following a period away from the mainstream spotlight, the group released the critically acclaimed album Canções de Amor e Morte in 2006, featuring notable tracks like Um Dia de Cada Vez and Depois do Temporal, as well as a cover of Geraldo Azevedo's classic Dia Branco. Their enduring presence in the national music scene was further cemented by their participation in the Rock Brasil - 40 Anos tour in 2021. Throughout their career, they have collaborated and shared musical spaces with notable figures of Brazilian rock, including Bruno Gouveia of Biquini Cavadão and Dinho Ouro Preto of Capital Inicial.

In recent years, vocalist Marcelo Hayena has remained the sole founding member leading the group through continuous releases and anniversary projects. The band has kept active with singles like Balada da Redenção, O Idiota, A Verdade está voltando, and a rendition of the song Mais. Their continuous output cements their legacy as an enduring force in Brazilian alternative and mainstream rock music.
