Biography

Urias, born Lorena Urias Martins da Silva in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, is a prominent Brazilian singer, songwriter, dancer, and model. Growing up, she developed a deep passion for the arts through dance and theater, which eventually led her to pursue a career in music and fashion. During her early years in her hometown, she formed a close friendship with fellow artist Pabllo Vittar before both achieved widespread fame. She first gained public attention by posting cover songs on YouTube, showcasing her versatility with various musical styles.

In 2019, Urias achieved national and international recognition with the release of her breakout single "Diaba," which became a major milestone in her career and the lead track of her self-titled debut extended play. Her music video for "Diaba" earned critical acclaim, winning Best Art Direction at the Berlin Music Video Awards. Following this success, she released the EP Fúria – Parte 1 in 2021, leading up to her highly anticipated full-length debut album Fúria in 2022, which reached the number one spot on the iTunes Brazil albums chart.

Continuing to expand her artistic boundaries, Urias released the multilingual project Her Mind in 2023, featuring tracks in Portuguese, English, and Spanish that delve into themes of self-knowledge and identity. Beyond her musical achievements, she is a vocal advocate for transgender rights and the LGBTQIA+ community, utilizing her platform and her background as a model—frequently walking at São Paulo Fashion Week—to challenge societal norms and champion diversity in the Brazilian entertainment industry.
