Vania Bastos is a distinguished Brazilian vocalist born in Ourinhos, closely associated with the innovative cultural movement known as Vanguarda Paulista. Her professional trajectory began in São Paulo during the early 1980s, where she gained prominence as a soloist for the experimental composer Arrigo Barnabé. She contributed her voice to seminal works of the era, including the albums "Clara Crocodilo" and "Tubarões Voadores." Additionally, she spent two years as a member of the band Isca de Polícia, led by the iconic singer-songwriter Itamar Assumpção.\n\nThroughout her solo career, which commenced in 1986, Bastos has released over ten albums and achieved recognition in international markets like Japan and Europe.
