Biography

Vespas Mandarinas is a prominent Brazilian indie rock band formed in São Paulo in 2009, led by singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Thadeu Meneghini. The group quickly established themselves within the modern Brazilian rock scene, releasing their debut studio album Animal Nacional in 2013, which earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Brazilian Rock Album. Throughout their career, the band has collaborated with numerous notable artists such as Arnaldo Antunes, Samuel Rosa, and Edgard Scandurra, blending melodic alternative rock with strong lyrical sensibilities.

Following their successful debut, the group released several notable EPs and their second full-length album, Daqui Pro Futuro, in 2017. Their music frequently gained heavy rotation on prominent São Paulo rock radio stations like 89 FM A Rádio Rock and Kiss FM. Lineup changes over the years saw musicians like Chuck Hipolitho, Michele Cordeiro, and Lena Papini pass through the band, yet Meneghini has maintained the project's creative vision through various acoustic tours, live albums, and singles produced by figures like Lucas Silveira.
