Biography

Via Circular is a Brazilian axé music band formed in Salvador, Bahia, in 2008. The band emerged with the objective of continuing the Bahian music movement, presenting innovative work with original songs, romantic lyrics, and a contagious sound. Led by singer and songwriter Levi Lima, Via Circular stood out for renewing the Bahian music scene, charting several hits such as "Palácios e Castelos", "Melhor que Ninguém", "Me Diz Qual É", "Caixa Postal", and "Som na Mala".

Throughout its trajectory, Via Circular also developed social projects, such as "Via Circular nas Escolas", which held over one hundred performances in educational institutions. The band launched the "Mais Eu" block for the Salvador Carnival in 2009 and, in 2010, sought to further popularize its work through rehearsals and a musicality that demonstrated a new phase, with great public acceptance and constant requests on the radio. In 2011, Levi Lima left the band to take over as lead vocalist of Jammil e Uma Noites.

Despite the departure of its original frontman, the band continued its journey with a new lineup led by Rafa Chaves, who is also known for his work with the bands Soul Grau and São Ninguém, and for being one of the creators of the "Confraria da Música" project. Via Circular has solidified itself as a representative of the new generation of axé music, maintaining the energy and charisma that characterize it.
