Biography

Victor Biglione was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on February 20, 1958, but established his artistic career in Brazil, becoming a naturalized Brazilian in 1982. Recognized as a virtuoso electric and acoustic guitarist, music producer, arranger, and composer, he was a member of the musical group A Cor do Som and built a vast career collaborating with hundreds of leading figures in national and international music. His versatility allowed him to work in various genres, ranging from bossa nova and Jovem Guarda to rock and MPB.

Throughout his career, Victor Biglione has accumulated more than twenty-five awards, including two Grammy Awards—one won in 1988 with The Manhattan Transfer and another in 2000 alongside Milton Nascimento—as well as a Latin Grammy nomination in 2016 for the album "Mercosul." The musician also stood out in film score composition, receiving six awards in this category, notably two Golden Kikitos at the Gramado Film Festival.

With around thirty albums released as a solo artist, Biglione has undertaken dozens of international tours across dozens of countries. He has shared the stage and the studio with fundamental names in Brazilian music such as Ivan Lins, Gal Costa, Chico Buarque, Djavan, Wagner Tiso, João Bosco, Jane Duboc, and Cássia Eller, in addition to important partnerships with foreign artists like Andy Summers. In 2005, his hands were immortalized on the Walk of Fame at Toca do Vinícius, located in Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro.
