Vinicius Brum is a Brazilian singer and songwriter, born in Bento Gonçalves, Rio Grande do Sul, on January 14, 1959. He is recognized for his contributions to the "música nativista" and "música gaúcha" genres, often blending traditional elements with contemporary sounds.

Brum's musical journey began early, influenced by his father, Luiz Batista Brum, who was also a musician. He gained prominence in the late 1980s as a founder of the group Tambo do Bando, which was instrumental in renewing the regional music scene in Rio Grande do Sul. His solo career also flourished, with the release of his album "Milonga-me" in 1996, featuring his own compositions like "Meu coração" and "Flor." He has since released several other albums, including "Milongrafia" in 2025.

Beyond his recording career, Vinicius Brum has also been active as a performer, participating in numerous musical events across Brazil. His work has been recorded by other artists, such as Loma, who covered his song "Um mate por ti" in 1991. Brum's music often explores themes of love, nature, and the gaucho culture, earning him accolades as one of the most awarded composers from Rio Grande do Sul.
