Biography
Vinicius Calderoni is a Brazilian writer, musician, composer, actor, director, and screenwriter, born in São Paulo in 1985. He has developed a multifaceted career spanning music, cinema, and theater. Calderoni is a founding partner, alongside Rafael Gomes, of the theater company Cia. Empório de Teatro Sortido. He has written numerous plays for adults and children, earning accolades such as the Shell Award, APCA Award (twice), Bibi Ferreira Award, and Reverência Award for Best Author. His plays have been published by Editora Cobogó and Cia. das Letrinhas.
In music, Calderoni has released two solo albums, 'Tranchã' (2007) and 'Para abrir os paladares' (2013). He is also a member of the band 5 a Seco, with whom he has released four albums: 'Ao vivo no Auditório Ibirapuera' (2012), 'Policromo' (2014), 'Síntese' (2018), and 'Pausa' (2019). The band has achieved significant success, performing across Brazil and garnering nominations for awards like the Prêmio da Música Brasileira.
As a screenwriter, Calderoni has penned two feature films, '45 do segundo tempo' and 'Meu álbum de amores,' and has contributed to various television series. His acting work includes roles in telenovelas, series, feature films, and theatrical productions.
Calderoni's artistic process is often described as experimental and versatile, drawing connections between different art forms. He has collaborated with various Brazilian artists throughout his career, including Lenine, Maria Gadú, Ivan Lins, and Chico César.
