Biography

Voices was an influential Brazilian contemporary Christian music girl group founded in 1997 by Marina de Oliveira. Initially assembled for an international project aimed at the foreign market, the group brought together well-known evangelical singers including Marina de Oliveira, Fernanda Brum, Eyshila, Jozyanne, and Liz Lanne, later joined by Lilian Azevedo in 2005. Their debut album, Colores Del Amor, was released in Los Angeles before the group conquered the domestic market with successful Portuguese releases such as Corações Gratos and Por Toda Vida, the latter earning them their first Gold Record.

Throughout a 15-year career spanning nine studio albums and various special projects under the MK Music label, Voices became a prominent fixture in Brazilian gospel music, known for their rich vocal harmonies and diverse musical influences ranging from pop to forró. The lineup underwent a notable transition in 2005 when Jozyanne departed for a solo career and vocal coach Lilian Azevedo stepped in. Following their final studio album, Para Sempre, released in 2012, the members pursued individual paths but reunited periodically for special events and anniversary projects, leaving a lasting legacy alongside contemporaries like Fernanda Brum and Eyshila.
