Biography

Wagner Marcilio de Carvalho, known artistically as Wagner Carvalho or Waguinho, was born in Campos dos Goytacazes in 1975. Growing up in a musical home alongside his sister Cristiane Carvalho, he began his artistic journey in childhood, participating in the album Janires e Amigos in 1985. Years later, in 1993, he joined the traditional rock band Rebanhão as a drummer, becoming part of the lineup led by Pedro Braconnot alongside musicians such as Carlinhos Felix and Paulo Marotta. With the group, he participated in the recording of notable works like Enquanto É Dia and Por Cima dos Montes until leaving the band in 1997.

After leaving Rebanhão, Wagner Carvalho founded the band Primeira Essência alongside Rogério dy Castro, Davi Fernandes, and other artists. The group remained active for about three years and released two albums on which he acted as both drummer and music producer. At the same time, he established his name in the recording industry as an important producer, collaborating with prominent labels like MK Music and Line Records and helming standout projects such as the compilation Arrebatados Remix.

His career in music production has spanned several heavyweights of Brazilian Christian music, including expressive works for artists such as Pamela, Cristina Mel, Rayssa & Ravel, and Marina de Oliveira. Throughout his career, he has produced dozens of albums that gained national visibility, receiving nominations for important awards such as the Troféu Talento and the Grammy Awards.
