Biography

Wallas Brenon Alves Arrais, known artistically as Wallas Arrais, is a Brazilian singer and multi-instrumentalist, born in Iguatu, Ceará, on June 25, 1993. His musical career started early, at age 11, when he began playing keyboard in local bands. At 15, he took his first steps as a lead vocalist in Banda Tatuagem, marking the beginning of a journey that would lead him to join several renowned forró groups, such as Cartas de Tarot, Forrozão Tropykália, Gatinha Manhosa, Moleca 100 Vergonha, and Virados do Forró. This diversity of musical experiences allowed Wallas to absorb influences ranging from romantic to electronic forró, shaping his artistic identity.

In 2016, Wallas Arrais decided to pursue a solo career, and the following year he was named an electronic forró revelation. His versatility as a musician is notable, as he plays multiple instruments, including piano, accordion, drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, flute, and percussion. This ability is reflected in his musical production, which blends piseiro, forró, and elements of sertanejo music. In 2018, he participated in major festivals such as Villa Mix Fortaleza and ExpoCrato, in addition to releasing his first DVD, "Wallas de Boa", featuring guest appearances by artists like Bell Marques and Xand Avião. His career gained even more national projection with successful partnerships, such as the hit "Troquinho" with Simone & Simaria and "Cafofo" with Gusttavo Lima.

Wallas Arrais has established himself as one of the leading names in electronic forró and piseiro today, especially in the Northeast region of Brazil. His presence at large-scale events and the success of his music videos on YouTube, which accumulate millions of views, attest to his popularity. In addition to his musical career, the artist also gained public notoriety for his participation in reality shows, such as "A Fazenda", where he demonstrated his competitive temperament.
