Biography

WRY is a Brazilian alternative rock band founded in 1994 in the city of Sorocaba, São Paulo, originating from the group Piso Sonoro created the previous year. Recognized as an important reference in the national indie rock scene, the group's trajectory includes an extensive discography with several studio albums, EPs, and notable stints through the underground circuit both in Brazil and abroad.

With just a few years of activity, the band was already sharing the stage with big names in music and participating in prominent festivals, such as Festival Juntatribo alongside groups like Planet Hemp and Garage Fuzz. Later, WRY spent seven years based in London, where they integrated into the British underground scene, recorded material distributed internationally, and established relevant partnerships for their musical development.

After returning to Brazil, the members released critically acclaimed works, such as the album She Science and the award-winning Noites Infinitas, winner of the Dynamite Independent Music Award. Remaining active over the decades, the band continues to renew its sound and produce new releases, solidifying its legacy in the history of Brazilian alternative rock.
