Biography

Yasmin Santos is a Brazilian singer and songwriter born in Guarujá, São Paulo. She began her musical journey performing in local bars before gaining recognition and opening for major acts like Henrique & Juliano, Simone & Simaria, and Raça Negra. Early in her career, she drew widespread attention for her striking vocal timbre, which fans and critics noted was remarkably similar to that of the late country icon Marília Mendonça.

In 2018, she officially entered the national spotlight by releasing her debut single, "Saudade Nível Hard," which quickly climbed into the top ten of radio charts and streaming platforms. Following this success, she released a series of EPs and signed with Sony Music in 2019, shortly before unveiling her album "Esquenta do DVD". Her rapid rise was marked by multiple certifications, including a double platinum plaque for her breakout hit and a gold plaque for the single "Pronta Para Trair".

Continuing to solidify her place in the sertanejo genre, Yasmin recorded her first live DVD, "Ao Vivo em São Paulo," in 2019, featuring high-profile collaborations with Marília Mendonça, Wesley Safadão, Gustavo Mioto, and Maiara & Maraisa. She further expanded her discography with the 2022 release of "Ao Vivo em Goiânia," which featured guest appearances by veteran duo Bruno & Marrone and Hugo & Guilherme. Her work consistently resonates within contemporary Brazilian country music, establishing her as one of the prominent voices of her generation.
