Biography

José Carlos dos Santos, better known as Zé Latinha, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter who gained national notoriety when he formed the duo "Zé da Timba e Zé Latinha". The duo stood out for their fusion of country music with contemporary influences and lyrics that address everyday themes.

Zé Latinha began his musical career in the 2000s, forming several duos before finding the ideal partner in Zé da Timba. The duo gained fame after a video recorded in a bar went viral on the internet, and later participated in the television show "Domingo Show", which further expanded their recognition. One of their most famous songs, "All The Mountains Are High", is often associated with the group Bee Gees due to Zé da Timba's vocal similarity, but it was written by the duo.

In addition to his musical career, Zé Latinha also had a stint in the world of newspaper comic strips, with the character "Zé Latinha" created by Rivaldo Macedo for the Jornal da Tarde in 1966. This strip portrayed a robot amidst other characters, but there is no direct connection between the character and the musician, other than the name.
