José Manoel de Carvalho Neto, artistically known as Zé Manoel, is an acclaimed Brazilian singer, songwriter, and pianist, born in Petrolina, Pernambuco. His musical journey is marked by a fusion of influences ranging from northeastern regional music, such as Marinês and Luiz Gonzaga, to the great names of MPB, like Tom Jobim and Chico Buarque, reflecting a rich sonic tapestry in his compositions. His academic training in music from the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) solidified his talent, allowing him to navigate masterfully between choro, Brazilian waltz, jazz, and samba.

Throughout his career, Zé Manoel has released several albums acclaimed by critics and audiences alike, such as "Do Meu Coração Nu" (2020), which earned him a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Brazilian Popular Music Album, and "Coral" (2024), recognized by APCA as one of the 50 best records of the year.
