Biography

Zulumbi is a Brazilian musical group that brings together the sound of contemporary rap and elements of Brazilian black music. The project unites the experience of MC Rodrigo Brandão with the talent of the producers and musicians from Instituto, establishing itself in the independent scene of São Paulo. The group's artistic proposal moves between urban poetry and instrumental experimentation, engaging with strands of hip-hop, samba, and jazz.

Throughout its trajectory, the group has collaborated with various exponents of national music and built a unique sonic identity within Brazilian black music. Names like Mundo Livre S/A and Nação Zumbi exert a strong influence on the project's aesthetics, which values the fusion of traditional rhythms with the modernity of electronic and acoustic beats. Zulumbi's discography reflects a commitment to musical research and the appreciation of peripheral culture.

Zulumbi's work stands out on stages and at festivals focused on independent and autogenous music in Brazil. The group keeps alive the tradition of artistic exchange and the renewal of national rap, remaining a reference for inventiveness and cultural resistance.
